The aims of the Circle are:

(a) To promote, encourage, organise and experiment in winemaking;       participate in, and demonstrate the joys of the art.

(b) To organise competitions for the members, to encourage and afford       opportunities for members to participate in competitions organised       by this and other circles affiliated to the National Federation of       Amateur Wine and Beer Makers, Wales & West Federation of       Winemaking Circles, South Western Federation of Wine and Beer       Makers and the Somerset Association of Amateur Winemakers       under the general competition rules of the National Guild of Wine       and Beer Judges.

(c) To provide members with information, advice and assistance on       matters connected with winemaking.

(d) To arrange tours, lectures, discussions, social and other
      meetings.
